5oclockinthemorning was born at the end of 2006 in Paris. Their music is mostly inspired by dissonant experimental rock like Sonic Youth's as well as melodic progressive rock or post-rock like Mogwai, Explosions in The Sky or The Album Leaf, etc ... Their influences range from jazz to electronica, post-rock, ambient, experimental, etc... all of which play a more or less obvious part in their work. The band has been through a dozen gigs in the past two years and issued their first 5-track EP in spring 2009, called 'rail passengers face strike chaos'. They are planning to make an album in 2010.
